<p>So this one is truly amazing. <a href="http://www.houseind.com/">House Industries</a> has come out with three dimentional cast metal ampersands. The cast sculptures are part of their <a href="http://www.houseind.com/index.php?page=press&amp;section=studio">Studio Lettering</a> series. They come in both cast iron and aluminum. I like to think that you can season and heat up the cast iron one and use it to fry eggs.  I can&#8217;t help but notice ampersands are really very bird like. Maybe a prehistoric <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Giant_Haasts_eagle_attacking_New_Zealand_moa.jpg">Moa</a> or a <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodo">Dodo</a>, or even an <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Auk">Auk</a>.</p>
<p>I don&#8217;t think I can afford the sculpture, but I will definitely be getting a <a href="http://www.houseind.com/include/getimage.php?n=Ampersand_press_07">t-shirt</a>.</p>
<p>Also check out:<a href="http://swissmiss.typepad.com/weblog/2008/07/cast-aluminum-a.html"> Swissmiss</a> <a href="http://www.core77.com/blog/object_culture/house_industries_cast_iron_ampersand_10418.asp">Core77</a></p>
<p>Link to the <a href="http://www.houseind.com/index.php?page=accessories&#038;category=sculpture">heavy metal</a>.</p>
